Hey race fans! If you were watching the Moto GP race this year that took place in Laguna Seca, CA you would have seen Todd Grice, a Supersport racer from Monterey, CA.  Competing in his very first professional race Todd and coming in 20th he proved he is one to watch! At the young age of 24 Todd already has an impressive record and a huge following, including NOHO who came out to support Todd and cheer him on! Keep an eye out for this incredible guy! He is just at the beginning of a long successful career!

Saturday morning the NOHO party crew was up bright and early to grace the La Quinta golf course with hula hoops, hula skirts, beer bongs, booze, and those little black 2 ounce shots of heaven we call NOHO .  They arrived while golfers were getting organized and lined up in their carts, for a the annual golf tournament put on by Classic Distributing. (Classic dist is responsible for putting Miller, Coors, Four Loko, Mikes Hard Lemonade and oh so many other amazing liquors at your favorite watering holes…modern day angels if you will).  Our beautiful NOHO ladies started off the tournament by providing a NOHO Hangover Defense shot to each golfer. We believe this was the reason golfers drank more then they golfed that day. Oops.

After golfers hit the course the NOHO crew jumped into decorated carts, and tackled the course. Their presence was immediately felt. Probably because of the iPod bumping music on the quiet course?! Just a guess.  Within moments of pulling up they had golfers taking beer bongs, dressing up in grass skirts, getting “Lei’d”, and posing for pics.  Everyone at the tourney was there for a good time and thanks to NOHO were able to have a great rest of the weekend!

NOHO headed out to the annual Bar and Nightclub Trade show in Viva Las Vegas last week to spread the love and good word on a how to party Vegas style, Hangover free! FINALLY RIGHT?! Of course we had some non believers the first day of the show, who would believe that there is a can of fluid you can mix into a cocktail, or a shot you can take before drinking to prevent the deathly feeling of a hangover?! Yum.. Sounds like bull right? We came prepared to prove them otherwise with thousands of samples to hand out and by the next morning we had over half of the attendees and Exhibitors back at our booth begging for more. Grown men and women, begging… seriously. We should have set up a NOHO lemonade stand and made some gambling money! Needless to say the show was a hit and we are happy to announce that NOHO will be sold in A LOT more bars and nightclubs in the US very soon. After being sent this link to Rich Van Every’s Blog (that is featured on BNQT.com) the Monday after the Hard Rock San Diego Launch party we decided it needed to be Hijacked and put on the NOHO site… Check it out! Thanks RVE!

These girls are NOHOs!

“On Saturday I took my beautiful friend Stephanie Armstrong to Supercross for the first time and she loved it. It was the 5^th race of the year at Qualcom Stadium in San Diego. The Dirt Worx s boys did an amazing job once again at preserving the track after all the rain. Even still it proved to be a very technical track making it really fun to watch. Only a few of riders where hitting some of the bigger jumps and it looked intense! The race was a tight five man battle for the lead in the 450 class. Short crashed out with no-thanks to Tedesco being a bit aggressive and Windham unfortunately pulled off with a mechanical after running strong in the top five. Davi Millsaps ended up on top after riding a smooth and smart race Congrats Davi!!!

After the race was the NO-HO party at the Hard Rock in downtown San Diego. It was well done with a large Moroccan style tent and outdoor patio area. The only thing is that it was over too quick! So many people showed up that I have not seen in a while and would have loved to connect more with. People were dancing and everyone seemed to be in good spirits. I rare sighting was Clifford Adaptonte Yes the Flyin Hawaiian!!! For those who may not know, he was a top FMX rider back in the late 90 s. Mike Metzger the God Father of FMX was present representing the Jagermeister FMX team which was one of the sponsors of the party. Also FMF, Nitro Circus and Ethika were other note worthy sponsors.

There was some amazing talent in the tent such as Victor Sheldon, Jeremy McGrath, Kendall Norman (Baja 1000 winner), Andy Bakken, Jimmy Button, Chad Reed, Nathan Ramsey, Jared Merrell of J-Star Motors Jolene Van Vugt, Andy Bell and Jim DeChamp of Nitro Circus X Games Gold medalist Blake Bilko Williams (one sick c word…) even some current Supercross racers came out such as Josh Hanson, Josh Hill, Grant Langston (great to see him back out there!) and Ivan Tedesco who rode really well with a 3^rd place finish that night behind Josh Hill.

All this topped off with some lovely ladies and some good music thanks to the DJ DAXand DJ EDDIE I hope you enjoy the photos.

THE RYAN SHECKLERS PRIVATE BASH

December 30th was a fun day, and Birthday of pro skateboarder Ryan Sheckler.  An event went down to celebrate, and ended up being one of the best Birthdays Ryan’s had.  Red Bull completely back their athlete Sheckler, and had sugar free & regular stocked creating quite buzz as you could imagine.  Nixon watches & Oakley also showed up in full force, adding a huge creative vibe to the party.  Barry Bonds, Travis Pastrana, Kate Voegele, and a mix of Ryan’s close friends were on hand to help break in the celebration.  The performances were amazing, Natusol kicked off the party, then Kelley James & Chris Young put on the performance of a lifetime.  Before DJ Dax took over the late night, good friend Rob Van Winkle aka Vanilla Ice, came to celebrate, and lit the entire house up…everyone was so pumped.  Throughout the this amazing night NOHO shots & cans were being passed around by the beautiful NOHO Nuggets (aka Hotties), and thanks to NOHO everyone woke up without hangovers ready to break in the New Years

What Brought in 75,000 people to the long beach pier on NYE?

Travis, known to most as a leader in supercross, motocross, and X Games, has focused on Rally Car Racing in recent years. The nine-time X Games gold medalist rang in the new year (midnight on the East coast, 9pm on the West coast) by launching his rally car to a new world record jump – 269 feet! (The previous record was 171 feet by fellow X Games Rally Car Racing competitor Ken Block.)

Travis Pastrana said afterwards “I was really nervous all day long, but when I got in the car I felt really calm. It was definitely a lot more fun than any of my practice runs, and when I landed, man did that retaining wall come up fast! I’m just happy the car and I didn’t end up in the drink. What a way to head into 2010!”

Of course we had to make sure everyone that was watching were going to bring in the New Year hangover free. So we had our Street Team ladies out, locked and loaded with NOHO and hitting each and every bar in the area. They were a big hit! Such a big hit, they were requested to load up the Party buss and after party for Mr Travis Pastrana and friends.

SAN DIEGO KNOWS HOW TO PARTY

2010 came in with a bang at the San Diego Marriot Hotel and Marina with international mega stars Hyper Crush, along with superstar DJ’s Scooter and Lavelle. The night’s event began with Noho and drinks filling the lobby as people checked into their rooms and started their NYE off right! Guests received plenty of their hangover defense before entering the party. Thousands of people partied their pants off (literally)! Music was bumpin, drinks were flowin and bodies were dancing! With VIP sections, VIP bars, and VIP bottle service it was definitely a night to remember, well if you can! Counting down the seconds until the New Year has never been so thrilling, party hats and all! The only thing better was waking up feeling like a million bucks with no hangover and ready for the pool party! Guests headed to the rock pool and bar outside the Marriot to continue their New Years party the following morning. Accompanied with Noho girls, preparing everyone before their first drinks. Only in California can you drink poolside in the middle of winter! Way to welcome in the new year, hangover free!

Red Bulls New Year: No Limits event.

Before the clock strikes midnight on the East Coast on December 31, Travis Pastrana is due to jump his Red Bull Subaru STI off the Pine street pier in Long Beach CA. If he is jumping off a pier what is he landing in water? No, better yet a floating barge! Can you say insane?!

How far is he jumping? Well Travis, being the competitor he is, is  aiming to “shatter” the existing mark  of 171. You haven’t seen a car fly this far since the JETSONS!

Come bring in the New Year with a bang and watch history in the making!!!

The scoop on after partys;

All of the restaurants at the Pine Street pier will be having after new years parties (they are literally 10 feet away from the ramp) and Red bull is bringing in one of their larger then life energy stations for all VIPs and athletes. They have also rented out Parkers Lighthouse for a party and will be open to the public (but get there early!). Keep an eye out for the NOHO girls who will hitting each location handing out free shots and cans to have you entering 2010 right, Hangover FREE!

The event is open to the public with tons of viewing areas and are expecting 75k people.  It is the place to be NYE!
